>The exception seems to be in semi-arid climate, as for anything else, dry soil tend to preserve copper way better i suppose?

Yeah generally speaking, if the arid regions don't have much salt or chemical activity in the soil then not much of the copper will have been converted to the green carbonate or other salts and they'll often have a nice brown to nearly black patina and smooth surfaces which make them a pleasure to clean. I believe some ancient coppers and bronzes could even be found with some mint luster left. I have some ancient Scythian arrowheads from the 4th century BC that must have been found in a dry cave because besides a few spots of corrosion they still displayed much of the original fresh shiny yellow color, and they even had remains of the ancient wood arrow shafts in their sockets!
>PS : my invitation for you to come dig up in my region and be housed as my guest still stand, my house is standing 100m away from the largest roman trade route to Lutetia back then. There are roman mileposts everywhere in the woods, no way you wouldn't find some treasures with your intuition!
My fren, I would absolutely love meeting and then going on treasure-hunting adventures with you, and would show you special low-tech techniques for finding good stuff which most detectorists or artifact-hunters don't know about. If your back is hurting and you're not up to more strenuous types of hunting there are some very leisurely and relaxing approaches too. I'm certain that we would have a wonderful time together, it may be some years before it's feasible but I sincerely appreciate your invitation frogbro.

>If you're fighting vampires and werewolves, do the knuckles need to be solid silver, or just plated?

Solid of course, the thick hides of werewolves and reptilian Jew-scales protecting vampires would wear through any plating and mitigate the effect. Can't skimp when it comes to cryptids fren.

No I was just lurking, but I realized that you're ESL so retract the insult. To native English speakers "Steel" refers to a range of refined products containing carbon and often other metals in addition to iron, pure iron is quite different. While it was clear to me that he was talking about refined metals and not crustal abundances the language gap likely caused you interpret it differently.
