Is it realistic to say I won't ever need a mortgage? I come from a well off family but besides that I am going to school and do have a job and I expect to get a good career. I buy everything in cash, have no credit card, and hate banks. I'm 19 but whenever I go to the bank they always try to get me to get a Visa and I always have people from the banks calling me offering to "invest my money for me". I keep half my cash in my house in safe. I really don't like banks, don't trust them, and don't trust financial advisers either. I am saving for my own property and car and plan to buy both in cash within the next 5-10 years.

Is this a bad thing or do I need to conform and build credit?
