i was in bitcoin till January and sold my alts in february so I have to reallocate about 130k in USDC. I have no idea where to put it. maybe stick in a cefi thing.

53k CAD in mainly US growth mutual funds cause some broker handles it but need to reallocate them all into value etfs or funds soon.
~13k CAD cash. Thinking of buying a tiny bit of gold. 1oz or 2 at most
Also have 10oz silver. I am very risk adverse right now looking for some ideas on where to put everything.

timing the top is always harder than the bottom but i've caught every single bottom. down to march 12/13th whenever it was. didn't move it till a week later when i was home. i was on vacation in the US, unable to access bitmex AND locked out of my spot account and still managed to buy 3.
even if i sell too early i don't care cause i'll get the pullback or buy some other meme shit.

There are buy and hold institutions that are clueless about crypto but hedge funds and institutional traders make money both ways, and those have been in since 2017 at least.
Your assumption is that there are only buy and hold types.
Look at the funding and longs aping right back in already, there's more to be made on the downside than there is on the upside.

I have no clue. I bought btc heavy in March and that anomaly guaranteed returns. Sold near the top. We're at ATH in the stock market right now and just busted in crypto..
It might run 10x more but we can just as easily turn into a bear market where you'd make money shorting.

that's the risk averse / pussy way of doing it but it works for me. a lot of the good traders will tell you to "ape in" and double down on winners and I think i'll try that during the next run up, rather than staying hedged in bad positions. here I have a pretty good track record.
