I'm a VP at a very large public healthcare company. (Not as prestigious as it sounds, that's below SVP and EVP, there are dozens of regular ol VPs.) On a company townhall webex right now. We're not even considering returning to the office until at least July and maybe even later like September. And permanent virtual/remote work is coming, a lot of people like in R&D will continue to WFH

Also we learned on a previous townhall that all the major players are NOT looking to recall furloughed employees. Too expensive, in fact COVID was a blessing in disguise because it gave them a perfect excuse to get rid of overpaid people and trim the fat.

Fellow wagecucks, what does it look like at your org? Are you WFH for the forseeable future? Layoffs/furloughs?

My company has already laid off a bunch of people. They also got rid of 401k matching, got rid of the employee share purchase plan (matching on buying company stock), and also got rid of the merit increase. No raises, not even yearly CoL increase, until further notice.
