I had a dream about that 2 years ago. They were obsidian spheres with gold runes etched into them vaguely reminiscent of picrel, but much more geometric. They were about 20-30 meters in diameter and would 'land' and hoover a few feet off the ground, opening up so people could walk onboard into a glowing white light. After a bit, people started pressuring me to go too, but I wasn't having it even when they started to get violent. After a certain point, the spheres started straight up abducting people by flying overhead and sucking them up in shimmering curtains of light.
They were inertialess and moved super fast - I remember seeing one hoovering over a waterway in some city, and then it accelerated off down the river in the blink of an eye with such speed the force of the vacuum ripped up all the water.
I think the thing that sticks with the most is a deep, instinctual loathing that I felt. My skin would crawl for days after every time I thought about them. It stuck too - I hated those fucking things so much that despite being 2 years later, when I just looked up references of them I could still feel my skin crawl.
