I've killed a lot of slugs, snails, random small garden insects. Grow a fair bit of food, always careful about killing things unnecessarily and will move them out the way but a lot of insects like to hide under pots, bags of soil and shit like that. So you drag a pot over or move some bags around and turns out some snail was hiding underneath and just got crushed. Feels bad man.

On the flip side with all the gardening shit there's a lot more insect life around, so I reckon it's a net positive regardless.

Based. If you're happy living modestly you really only need 1 million or so to completely achieve FIRE. Once you've reached that point throw most of it in an index fund like VTI/VOO and live off the average 50k<= or so a year that generates for you passively.

The only thing you have in life is time, so I'd be more than happy to sacrifice some extra material comforts if it means I can stop wagecucking a few years earlier. People should really orient themselves towards that way of thinking more, stop trying to out earn shit spending habits.
