I have no idea how many Americans killed themselves when they were foreclosed on, or lost all their savings when Lehman collapsed (brokerage accounts are/were apparently not insured the way bank accounts are, as everyone who banked with Bear Stearns got their money).

Look, it doesn't matter, the reality is that they're ALL on the same team. There is no real difference between them. All the drama just pumps donations into their election campaigns and distracts us from the fact that the democracy is gone, the kleptocracy is here, and the middle class is joining the lower class as the new peasants, a completely replaceable workforce who will be automated away.
