the multi chain model is the only feasible model, so that useless dapps don't clog each others working space, also the multi chain approach allows for full customization of the whole stack even at the blockchain level, so for example part of the dVPN logic in sent is embedded into the validators , validators them self will be able to offer free dVPN use to people that stake, if SENT was on ethereum this wouldn't be possible
