I inherited a fairly sizable trust fund from my Grandparents. Not enough to never work again, but enough to play life on easy mode. Literally every other person I know who's inherited money has fucked their life up, one way or another with drugs or reckless spending and I'm determined to not make the same mistakes for myself. I'm 27 years old and work as an underwriter for a major insurance company and lives in fredericksburg VA. I own my house and car outright and have a gf. I have a small social group that i play D&D with. I collect transformers, fossils and gold, silver and rare coins. I'm about to start renovating the walk-out portion of my basement into an apartment to generate some extra income.

By all standard metrics, I'm successful, but I still feel like a failure

I've lost interest in friends.. women.. even video games. I just mindlessly scroll through the internet wasting time. A quarter of my life is already passed, yet I've achieved nothing, while others have achieved magnitudes of accomplishments.

I do nothing productive in my free time. Just read some books here and there. But I am paralyzed by depression and fear. I have nothing to look up to in this world
