Wow man, its like you can hear my thoughts, I basically had this conversation with my father and outlined much of what you touched on. He wasn't a great father/provided, but always gave me support and now is an excellent friend. I'm only 29, he is about 66. I figured this out at around 25, I wish it were so much earlier.

I let my guard down too recently and thought I made a solid male friendship the last year, I was so sadly mistaken. You know where we admire each other's strengths or abilities and then find ways to translate what they do well in their life to your own. Its so hard to find real fraternity these days and its one of the few things that really bothers me.

This guy was the Kitchen Manager of where I worked while I was Front of House. We bonded over edgy jokes, working out, THC concentrates and just bettering ourselves while having fun. Needless to say, he thought I was sleeping with his ex girlfriend and he asked me and got weird about it. She worked there too, but I hadn't although we flirted a lot and he didn't like it I guess, but its basically meaningless. She did send me fun pictures though. Lol

Anyway, I found out he was recording things I said outloud on his phone and then letting the General Manager listen to it. A knife right in my back because he thought I was plowing his ex. I thought I could speak freely around him and be a bit harsh on my opinions of how things were ran. The GM was lazy as fuck and overall not great at his job, we continued to lose good employees. I raised my concerns to the GM on a professional level many times and it went unheard.

One of the servers told me it wasn't the first time the KM had done that to people. Its sociopathic honestly. The GM knew verbatim things I was saying and just assumed the KM told him until I basically set the KM up and saw his phone on record.

I honestly couldn't believe it because I was positive I met a good friend and he didn't seem insecure at all.

Can someone explain this in detail to me? Everything I read feels like a scam/infomericial/pyramid scheme. However, It said something about borrowing against a permanent life insurance policy to prevent interest from accruing. Thanks for resources or information in advance

Some of my background, I'm 27yr Caucasian Male, some college experience but didn't finish, mostly general education credits so I'm sure its generally worthless. I live in Northeast Ohio, and the pickings do seem slim around here so I've considered relocating possibly, however my cost of living is incredibly low as well. I do have almost 5 years experience (about 4yrs 3 months) managing a few businesses though, food service and at a carwash randomly, both of which were small operations.

I can pass a drug test, don't smoke and rarely drink, and have no problem working long hours. I have a few professional business references that will attest to a strong work ethic. I worked my way up from the bottom in both jobs, while learning the necessary skills for the positions.

I did tasks like scheduling, basic accounting, delegating tasks and reviewing their completion, handling money, making drops at the bank, and end of day counts, ordering product and supplies from merchants, dealing with customer complaints and satisfaction, and adhering to health and safety regulations. etc Anything essential to making sure the day flowed well. None of which is all that difficult, but ultimately the pay was never great considering the workload unfortunately. I'm not opposed to learning in a different industry from scratch but does anyone have thoughts on a career path I'm potentially over looking? I don't mind anything blue collar at all if the pay is fair with opportunity to ascend.

I've also considered maybe studying a trade, but Idk where to start. I have the time to focus on a career and am starting to feel quite behind if I don't have something solid by the time I'm 30. Thanks in advance, and seriously any thoughts at all are greatly appreciated!
