There is an overlook not too far from my house, where as a child I would throw pennies and other small change, I would love to get into the woods with a detector but the drop is fairly steep. And of course they've ruined it by adding this hideous overlook. Back when I was there it was a rocky outcrop with no railing.

Probably loads of old coins etc down in the woods
