i might actually faint bros

so i work in a restaurant with a lot of prepubescent teenagers, hitting their stride as juniors and seniors in high school. and this weekend was homecoming. well yesterday, i overheard them all talk about it all giddy and excited because it was such a great time but here's the thing... they all went with their friends. like what the fuck? all the girls went together and all the guys went together. not a single one I work with had an opposite sex date. truly... what the fuck in my mind. and they're your usual run of the mill, soccer-track-football stars. letterman jackets. these aren't the usual rejects from class. and they all didn't have dates. not only didn't they have dates, it didn't even sound like anyone was interested in asking anyone, which when I was in high school homecoming and prom were pretty big fucking deals in terms of school dances. so I come to this shit board in terms of insight, what does this mean? what does this mean for the future generations? and is the internet brainwashing women into not having children because "save the environment, we're all going to die tomorrow", which in term is dis-interesting them from dating? it's getting really scary lads. as a late millennial, a lot of women my age aren't interested in having kids because of climate change and it seems far more magnified in the younger generations as well. Even myself is getting less and less interested in dating because its just such a chore to hit such absurd expectations. but the fact that nearly everyone around me believes climate change is a penultimate threat that will explode the world tomorrow and because it might, fuck relationships and children and marriage and all that, just live in fear throughout your youth over something like literally might not climax in another 25-50-100 years.
