eh, as with all things, there are differing opinions.
if you specifically find it uncomfortable or bad for your spine, then obviously don't do it, or get some flat cot if you need to save $ vs more expensive bed. i slept on a futon and that shit went soft within 1 year. i hate mattresses. the springedjew is designed to fuck your shit up and go soft so that it can be replaced.

hammock has been best option for me so far. that or sleeping directly on the floor.
