I see two possibilities. The first is that we are fucked. The good news is that were are Muricans so we're less fucked then our Euro sisters, and the other world markets. And it's a great buying opportunity for long term positions. Option two is that these (((institutions))) are keeping their long positions and buying puts to hedge short term. Meaning their mid to long term outlook is still bullish.

I have no understanding of macroeconomics, or really the market in general. I'm just good at timing bollinger band squeezes and dumping my profits into VOO.

So in my uneducated opinion, the US got ahead of the curve by hiking rates before the other major countries. Not to mention that our companies are bigger and better, specifically the SP 500. Smart money should be flowing into US stocks as our economy will be faster to recover.
