Throughout history you’ll always find people complaining about inflation, the recession, the banks, the economy blah blah blah.

The basic reality is that low status low value losers will never succeed under any system. If you’re 85th percentile and up, you don’t actually care about “the current economic thing” because you provide a lot of value in the economy, no matter what happens you’re better than 85% of those around you and resources are thrown at you. Bottom of the barrel losers get nothing because they are often low IQ and have nothing to offer anyone, they cope with “the economy” being bad but the basic reality is they have shitty genetics.

What are some of the most common self defeating beliefs/behaviors you have and have seen in others that prevent them from getting ahead?

My self defeating behaviors:
>always think I’m too late to anything when in hindsight I’m often early after the dust has settled, always think it’s “too late for me to try”
>overthink and over analyze everything to find the perfect solution, often end up doing nothing
>avoid social activity even though I know it will make me happier and healthier
>think I’m not good enough for certain things/people

How have you overcome your self defeating beliefs? Is it even possible?

Boomers have a severe psychological hangup about “6 figure salaries”. They literally will refuse to allow their workers to make 6 figures in fields like engineering because they still think it’s an enormous amount of money.

Younger generations don’t even think $200,000 is a big salary anymore. As soon as they get into management wages are going to melt up as the next big “psychological wage” is $1,000,000.

300k starting salaries will start to become a thing in the US.

140k in cash in a bank account. Too afraid to invest it, been sitting there growing with my monthly paychecks for years.

I’ve thought about a high yield savings account but it seems like a scam that’s going to collapse.

Older siblings all in medicine making 500k+ in early 30s, I fell for the engineering meme and make 65k. Parents keep trying to get me to do other jobs because they know I’m poor. Fuck it hurts

$100,000 salary isn’t even good anymore and inflation adjusted to even just 2019 a 100k salary is actually like 85k
