I was thinking Japan, but the globohomo is already infiltrating. I just want a mountainside home, a decent income, broadband and a pack of 4-6 dogs. I'll be happy then.

I was mostly referring to the situation in Brazil, but it's not much different from what happened in America in the 90s. We had 'hood culture pushed to the mainstream as a way to displace "rich people" music, and to normalize "favela culture" - is the simplest way I can put this. I'll admit I'm not a fan of rap but I can't find fault in the people who are (my musical tastes are admittedly pretty awful), but I think the quality of 90's US rappers and 90's BR rappers is entirely different. Think what you're describing now, except it was happening back then and has only gotten worse.

Thanks. Not much more to share that /pmg/ isn't already aware of, I just wanted to share the similarities of what I saw growing up to what we're living through today. I remember going with my mom to the supermarket and they had to keep 3-5 employees running around the store with labelmakers re-pricing every product on the shelves every couple hours when inflation could reach 30% a day.
