Person who doesn't know shit about finances here. Is throwing a bunch of disposable income into an index fund a good idea?

The higher my portfolio goes the worse I feel. Seeing a 10k stack knowing that it could have been 100k with better investing is not that big a deal for me. Its not life changing wealth either way.

But seeing 100k and knowing it could have been 1 million is way harder.

I'm finishing an Udemy course about Solidity and I'm halfway through The Odin Project just to learn some programming.

For anons that already know Solidity, what's the best way to learn it? Did you start a project and went along with it, learning while doing it?

I legit didn't know much about programming a few weeks ago, I want to work with crypto we don't have relevant startups in the country I'm located, so I'd probably have to create everything from scratch, I have enough capital to start anything I want and keep it alive for a few years tho.
