Newfag brainlet here when it comes to uniswap/DEXes in general
Have a few questions:
1. Is having metamask a must for trading on uniswap? Do I literally need it to be able to trade on there, even if my tokens are on a hardware wallet?
2. I've been hearing about high ETH gas fees for weeks now. Do those ETH gas fees affect uniswap token swaps?
For example, let's say I'm on the uniswap page for AAVE/ETH. I want to swap a total of 100 AAVE for ETH. The uniswap page says I can swap 10 AAVE for 2.56 minimum-received ETH. The price impact is low at 0.03%, and liquidity provider fee is 0.03 AAVE, which doesn't sound too bad to me
First off, it appears that I would get slightly more eth if I do ten swaps of 10 AAVE, instead of one swap of 100 AAVE. Is that correct?
Secondly, do I need to have a certain amount of ETH already on my wallet, just to be able execute one swap in the first place? Is this a 'fee' not reflected on the uniswap swap page?
Say I need $60 in ETH for gas in order to trade 10 AAVE (which is about 0.04 ETH, I've heard that the gas price can get this high for even smaller trades which is ridiculous, but that's another conversation)....wouldn't this mean I'd technically only be getting about 2.52 ETH for every single 10 AAVE <---> 2.56 ETH swap? (2.56 minus 0.04)
Is that how this all works?
