The thunderbolt moment for me was (blogpost aside of my life collapsing), I noticed that chicken had doubled in price at Walmart. I knew if Walmart, with all its loopholes and poor labor policies and chinese products couldn't fight inflation, then nothing was going to. I have always been slightly financially oriented, I always tried to make my money work for me, but in this climate my money is a liability.

So, I investigated silver on my own, and stumbled in these threads on accident. It paired up nicely. Started in August near the high point, unfortunately, but I can sit on it forever.

Waiting on a 10 oz piece to come in the mail any day now. 165 oz here.

Bought another 21 ounces today. Up to I believe 165, I gave away a piece as a gift and I need to sit and count again.
