I was reading up on some different options tragedies and straddles seems interesting.
TSLA has earnings in a few days and NVDA's is next month.
From what I understand straddles work on a stocks volatility, it doesn't matter which direction the price goes as long as it goes hard.
The only drawback is IV crush or the stock somehow crabs despite earnings.
My question is are straddle plays worth the risk, even on such volatile stocks?
