There is nothing of value built on the IC, it's only been a year, but I'm beginning to feel like web3 isn't that revolutionary and no one really cares about that. I look at all the sites, and the user bases, and the games, and it's just pathetic. Most of DFINITYs YouTube videos only have 1k views, they are really well made, and you can tell they've put a lot of time and effort into them. Is this the power of organized FUD and market manipulation? I expected ICP to be doing better than this. Mercury launch happened on the 10th of May, at this point BTC was at it's first peak before the double top, at 55-56kUSD, then it dumped down to 30k in the next week or so. Not only this, but the ICP-PERP that came out on FTX 4 days before launch (https://cryptoleaks.info/case-no-1)) and the organized FUD campaign by Arkham Intelligence and NYT (https://cryptoleaks.info/case-no-2).). It seems hopeless. The tech is amazing, but without a strong development community and a good name. Along with the issues it already has like II and NNS being complicated and confusing, with the URLs looking like random numbers and letters, and integrations like BTC being delayed by almost a year now. I am just losing hope piss bros. Give me some hopium, I'm fucking dying over here.

With the BTC Integration just two weeks away, I'm curious if any anon has thought about the implications of such an event. All node providers have the capacity to view the contents of their nodes, isn't that a huge attack vector for any BTC stored in 'cryptographically' secured canisters? And what if they shut down a canister? Surely they can't release the btc integration with such a huge design flaw in the midst.
