Accountants don't make that much. But two salaries from Richmond VA area, if they were super cheap and dumped everything into index funds starting at 22 and retired at say 38 could have well over ~$1.x million. But that is mainly because its been a raging bull market the last 10 years. Considering that they are still young and have kids, that ~$1.x million isn't going to be much comfort if we have a multi-year bear market or something like what happened to Japan from the 90s on forth.
