Snopes was actually useful way back in the 2000s during the early internet, when it was helpful to debunk copypasta e-mail forwards and rumors from Boomers. For example, we all had old relatives that used to forward us retarded shit via e-mail: Snopes was a good tool to fact-check stuff like that.
Nowadays Snopes is just an extension of the liberal establishment propaganda arm. For example, let's pretend some hypothetical Democratic senator gets busted in a sting to solicit sex from a minor, and Fox News reports him as being a pedo:
Snopes would report it as "false", and they'd dissect it by saying, "Yes, it's true the senator was arrested for asking a 14-year old girl for nudes and police later found CP on his computer. HOWEVER, that doesn't make him a pedophile, since the girl was over the age of 10, and also he never had sex with any children, therefore the claims that he's a child rapist have been debunked."
