I see your point.
Keep in mind, this is a revolution dressed up like a get rich quick scheme. Greed will drive adoption. Eventually, the butcher that takes BTC will be able to undercut the butcher that doesn't.

ETH has a better chance of outperforming USD, by bridging the gap through the volatility, with DEX's and stablecoins backed by ETH but pegged to USD or gold or any arbitrary commodity, when a correction is due.

Fractional reserves are not a conspiracy theory. They usually happen through incompetence.
Even the most responsible exchanges will get hacked, raided, embezzled and or extorted.
If you're just chasing short term pumps and dumps, the reward may be worth the risk.
But long term, scarcity is a joke, when only a fraction of the economy owns anything they're trading. The exchanges can just sell you you're own holdings over and over again.

There won't be a new mega bullrun because mainstream already happened in 2017.

Normal people think cryptocurrencies are a scam and will never chose it over traditional methods of payment.

Companies are already adopting blockchain, but only private blockchains. There is absolute no company working with public blockchains.

You missed out on your only chance to ride the ponzi as it went mainstream, but now that everyone already knows its over forever.

Time to move onto the next get-rich-quick dream. This one is over.

Why did Bitcoin go into a bubble 3 times before? Will it go into a bubble again?

It was able to bubble in subsequent waves as fresh waves of naive idiots who never heard of Bitcoin got hyped up into thinking its some amazing technology that will replace real money. Once you actually try Bitcoin, once you see how completely user unfriendly, tedious and slow it is with any traffic, you realize its complete shit and sell.

Now that its mainstream there are no more idiots to hook to the ponzi. You were able to recover after 3 years in the last crash, only because in 2015 virtually nobody knew about Bitcoin so you could shill it to the normies. But now the normies know. They all tried it on December 2017 and they know it blows donkey cock.

Its over. The scheme is known, it will never rise to ATH again.

>the existence of an immutable ledger is unprecedented in human history

LMAO, as if any fucking serious organization on the planet is going to let its entire transactional history be placed on a fucking public ledger whose transactions are verified by a bunch of shady cartels in fucking China. You people are so fucking delusional and detached from how the real world business works that its comical.

Every single thing that your "immutable ledger" that is "unprecedented in human history" does can easily be done by any fucking database on any fucking cloud interface.

And lets not even get into the actual experience of using Bitcoin. Even fucking Venmo has a exponentially better user interface and user experience and use feature set than Bitcoin. Not to mention throughput. A fucking medium sized convenience store has a higher transactional throughput than the entire Bitcoin network that requires massive amounts of energy and millions invested in shitty ASIC computers to crunch arbitrary numbers looking to get a randomly assigned key to put a transaction onto the ledger. LMFAO.

Even the biggest proponents of crypto and its biggest pushers realize how little of an impact it will actually have on the world of the future, and how its a hype machine looking to hype up dumb millennials.

He's right though.

Bitcoin is a digital token without any inherent value. Its high per token value is a reflection of billions being printed in Tether (fake US dollars) that are then used to push the bid/ask spread on Bitfinex up on a very small portion of the outstanding float, making it look like there is hundreds of billions of value being created to the economically ignorant.

The fact that a bunch of ignorant millennials fell for a pyramid/ponzi where the early purchasers hyped up a bunch of dumb millennials into buying it during 2017 is not indicative of it being largely worthless.

Its like someone bragging how beanie babies are some great investment because lots of people got rich of them during the 90's hype craze. Bitcoin is the same thing, now that everyone has seen it and the mystique of the "futuristic money" is gone after it completely shat the bed in December, nobody is going to be hyped into buying it again. It will continue bleeding down to the sub 1K region where it was before the 2017 bubble.

Now that crypto has been exposed as the pyramid scheme it is, what's the next ponzi that will allow us to sucker in naive millennials?

Millennials liked crypto because they thought it was something high-tech, fast, would make transactions more convenient...etc. When they actually jumped in to invest last year Bitcoin completely crapped the bed and transactions took days to confirm, showing the reality of its uselessness.

What's the next ponzi to get millennials excited?

Originally I bet on smart contracts because I figured it would make dark markets easier, safer and more reliable for n00bs and casual users, like me. To prevent Silk Road style meltdowns. Or at least stop MTGOX style melt downs through DEXes. Looked like nationalism was on the rise and interest rates were about to go negative, so sanctions and tariffs and bail-ins were about to create a demand for grey markets.
ETH has DEXes and privacy features that nobody uses. Turns out all anybody uses ETH for is printing money and breeding cryptokitties. Which has been lucrative, but not meaningful.
