Anon, USDT is used to pay for Futures and Leverage contracts. Those are a big part of Binance's and ByBit's revenue.

Thanks to USDT, they can easily buy/sell and loan billions of dollars each month to do transactions. This fake prices are being used to buy more crypto which in turn pushes the price upwards again. Guess what? All that money and all the price movements of BTC were done thanks to imaginary USD.

USDT can really bring down the market. The prices are not real and both the whales and the biggest exchanges are too exposed to it.

I am convinced that these big, sudden movements are done by exchanges to liquidate gamblers. The leverage they offer is too high and unsustainable if most of them are right.
