Right, let's say I make enough capital gains that I need to pay $1000 in federal taxes. What I'm asking is when I fill out the 1040-ES quarterly, is that ONLY for my capital gains, or for the capital gains plus estimated taxes from my job that currently get taken out of my pay automatically?

I may have misread it and confused myself. The IRS page says it's only for income not subject to witholding, I just want to be certain.

Thank you Sir,
