Ok, I'm not going to link or name the project because this is not a shill and there's no token or anything yet anyway so I have nothing to gain(maybe to lose if this is not Chainlink but it's not clear either way).
Some semi-related individual points relevant to the discussion:
So as you probably know AMM pairs get rekt by IL from arbs.
TWAP oracles or similar from uni have historically been bad.
A money market for example that uses link as an oracle is basically always in good shape as long as they use the proper feed for what they offer. And they all use link or generally die or get exploited.
So this is vague both intentionally from me and also even the supposed implementer of this has given very little info, but there's this idea of native oracles that isn't new but I think I found at least one project that seems to want to try it.
That being said, the only public code I have found for it is just them copying link's v3 oracle formatting for a single function and nothing beyond that. That could imply that they are planning on adding actual link nodes as precompiles or on a special whitelist or something making them 'native'.
Or maybe it means they are going to roll their own oracle and the link format makes sense for app compatibility.
So I'm wondering what you think.
Would link do this where they become not just a third party flexible service provider, but intertwine themselves in a protocol like this?
If they are planning on doing this themselves, is it over before it even began for them or what?
