https://www.coindesk.com/bis-plans-platform-for-testing-central-bank-digital-currencies-in-cross-border-payments

this platform is being run on R3 Corda's Settler, which uses XRP as the mechanism of settlement.

https://www.r3.com/press-media/r3-launches-universal-corda-settler-application/

Speaking of banks using XRP, there's this company called Volante. Volante is using XRP for digital payments.
https://www.volantetech.com/document-downloads/iscs1GYVQiqRqSoGoe7h-vol-pay-ripple-processor-module-uk-final-pdf
(pay attention to the diagram that has the letters XRP in the middle of it.)

Volante is working with some pretty big banks, handling digital payments.

Citibank...
https://coingape.com/citi-extends-partnership-with-ripple-powered-volantes-volpay/

Goldman Sachs...
https://www.pymnts.com/news/digital-banking/2020/cloud-payment-processor-volante-teams-with-goldman-sachs-on-digital-transaction-banking/

Volante is also working with the Federal Reserve to develop its FedNow payment platform, along with two other Ripple partners- ACI and Temenos.

Ripple's VP Pat Thelen sits on the board of directors of the Faster Payments council, which is the public wing of the organization developing FedNow.

Ripple's former Board advisor Michael Barr is the current head of the fucking OCC, the top banking regulator in the USA.

The Saudi digital payments platform that just debuted is using XRP.

Japanese Megabank Sumitomo just debuted a payment rail between Singapore and Japan using XRP. SBI Bank, which is leading Japan's transition to digital payments, has a CEO named Yoshitaka Kitao, who is the chief economic advisor to the Prime Minister of Japan. Kitao sits on Ripple's board of directors.

Ripple has deep connections to Vanguard (pic related) and Blackrock (google Craig Phillips)

When Ripple goes to $10 or $50 in the blink of an eye, you are going to feel dumb for not buying XRP when it was under 50 cents. Please, for the sake of your grandkids, buy some now.

I'm not sure fren.

One thing that does concern me and I don't have the time for this rabbit hole, but I am wondering how close the CIA connections are to the Grateful Dead. We know Jerry was a part of the same CIA acid testing in San Francisco as Ken Kesey and Charles Manson.

Interesting quote
>To put Garcia's formulation in terms a contemporary Silicon Valley venture capitalist might understand, LSD was a disruptive technology, except that instead of upending mere transactions such as hailing a cab or renting a hotel room, the things being disrupted were the basic conventions of society, which is why mainstream America was, and remains, so terrified of the drug.

>The CIA's experiments with psychedelic drugs led to the Grateful Dead

looks like Thiel's VC wing, Founder's Fund invested in Ripple, unsure of whether they are still connected (but i can't imagine they are completely divested)

plot twist: the two-price FUDfag has returned to /XSG/ after a 200-thread absence. everybody please heckle him for not being able to think of a better argument against XRP
24822035▶
>>24821998
Bottom line is that there will be TWO prices for XRP.
One set by FI’s for liquidity.
One set by traders on exchanges.
Only one will grow authentically and the other will be -only- for the rest of us to feed off scraps.

>well, it's a foregone conclusion that the price is going to skyrocket because even a moron can see that this is going to be the backbone of the new digital economy and it's already widely adopted by the most powerful institutions in the world, so i will pull some random conjecture about two different prices out of my ass in an attempt to convince retards that this isn't the best chance to get rich they will ever have

when does the Mayflower arrive again? do you think it'll be significant at all or nah? the last memedate, 11/20, ended up being kind of accurate

There is no right answer for this. Mostly personal preference and security vs. convenience.
Hot storage (with Spark support) - XUMM or Exodus.
Cold storage - Ledger/Trezor or Paper/Metal Wallet
