I think I'm part of the problem
I've been investing in tech sector ETFs since 2010. Basically I've been outperforming the market like crazy, but I'm pretty sure my ETF is pumping nvidia right now and I'm not even really thinking about it.
The whole "passive investing has destroyed value investing" might be true, but I really don't give a fuck about fund managers crying they are losing fee money.

Inflation forces people to spend money now and it's baked into the system. If people didn't live beyond their means the economy would collapse due to lack of growth. Giving stimulus checks only fueled that growth and subsequently inflation. Now we're going back to a stable 2% "living beyond our means" growth.
