Their 10nm process is such a clusterfuck that it has been delayed for what? 4-5 years by now? They can't even get their shit together there, and yet some retards are still expecting them to somehow magically leapfrog TSMC with Intel's 7nm process.

Let's say 7nm gets released and isn't a complete dumpster fire. AMD is going to be on TSMC's 3nm process by then and 2nm is around the corner in 2023. Intel is still going to be behind TSMC - and that's assuming they don't fuck up their 7nm process, which is very likely, given the current situation. Even Jim Keller couldn't fix their shit. That's how FUBAR they really are.

If it was that easy, they wouldn't have fucked up their 10nm process that badly that it has been delayed 5 years (aka cancelled, aside from crappy garbage products as smoke screens for shareholders).

The whole situation was the perfect storm for AMD.

Intel got complacent and made arguably the worst architecture mistake of all time with 10nm (pic related). Meanwhile, AMD could develop a competitive architecture and ride on the success of TSMC that was fueled by the money of smartphone companies like AAPL.

With Intel cancelling their 10nm desktop offerings and an unsure future of their 7nm process, AMD is going slap Intel's shit for years to come as TSMC is way ahead of Intel now, with a clear roadmap (as far as AMD is concerned, 7+nm in Q3 2020, 5nm in 2021 and 3nm in 2022/23). Intel MIGHT have their 7nm ready at the end of 2021, probably 2022 - if they don't fuck it up again. Their main problem remains their fabs, as it's their strenght and their weakness.

That said, I sold on friday to lock in my tax allowance for this year. Should I rebuy AMD tomorrow at roughly the same price? Is there still headroom to go up, with analysts increasing their 1-year target for the stock? Or should I wait for a potential drop before reentering?
