I'm really sick of the "move fast and break shit" tech bro / greedy fast growth investor mentality which has been dominating the technology industry. It's pretty clear where that has gotten us with places like Facebook radicalizing tens of millions of people with viral misinformation while addicting hundreds of millions more in a socially isolating way and Boeing planes crashing after the controls software was outsourced to save a few bucks. I believe decentralized smart contracts are the future infrastructure which will run the majority of commerce, finance, and governance in the 21st century and such important infrastructure needs to be built the right way without compromise. Cardano is pursuing the peer reviewed road less traveled and picking the most secure languages to base their technology on (ITN and Yoroi components in Rust, main node and smart contracts in Haskell, and K framework for multilanguage) and we are now beginning to see the fruits of this principled approach i.e. provably secure PoS which doesn't require coin lockups or slashing and which implements stake pool delegation natively unlike Ethereum which requires smart contracts for this (rocket pool). I'll stop there but I could go on equally long about how holistic Cardano's approach is (solving scalability, governance via voting in Voltaire, and having a plan to give economic identity and services to the world's most underserved and potential growth population of the century in Africa).
