This increased with chain count but not the way you might expect, see with 700,000 every chain would be connected to every other chain with just 8 hops.
This is a technological innovation second only to PoW itself.
The fact you can have literally 35 Million real (real) TPS and cross chain under 240s is mind blowing and nothing on this earth can compare.
