SBF made his initial money arbitraging the price of BTC between exchanges, in South Korea in particular.

Anyone that was around at the time remembers that insane BTC spread between SK and everyone else, and everyone of course wanted to take advantage of it but it was practically impossible for most retail investors since they didn't have access to a SK bank account to withdraw from. So how was he able to do it?

There's still opportunities like that today, like in Nigeria where BTC is twice the price of everywhere else on legit exchanges. And the only reason I can't arbitrage it is because I don't have a Nigerian bank account or a pathway to transfer Naira back to USD. So how did SBF do it? How does anyone do it? Do I need some insider business connections or some shit?

This is truth and the milkshake theory is in fact correct but what boomers don't get is that other countries are demanding PHYISICAL CASH , not digital crap.

You can't get digital dollars into most countries due to capital controls and the boomers have become anti cash now for some retarded reason(and looking at india & france results demonetization just destroy the velocity of money and gdp growth).

So in countries like argentina , lebanon , venezuela , and probably soon india, turkey and a lot more the market value of the dollar is fucked up.

For example in argentina if you have a foreign card and buy something with dollars 1 dollar is 60 pesos.
But if you use 1 dollar cash instead of a card 1 dollar is 130 pesos.

More than 100% difference between digital dollar and cash dollar , it always was like this because money laundering makes cash more worthy but it was never 100% , maybe 10% at most but not 100% of difference between cash and digital dollar.

You may ask why the fuck does it matter?Because the demand for dollars will disappear if this countries gdp go back to mid 20th century in the next 5 years due to this crap.

It's simply impossible for them those countries to even have economic growth when exporters get 100% less due to receiving digital dollars than phyisical dollars.

If the world does not see a massive injection of phyisical dollars and maybe a 1000 usd bill the demand for usd will disappear as the countries demanding it collapse.

Overall his take is pretty good, except one of his suggested solutions is to try to quantify diversity based on life circumstances. Such a thing is impossible to do accurately and the value itself is questionable because diversity for the sake of it has questionable value.
The real solution is to just stop valuing diversity because it really doesn't help for shit unless you're doing market research to target a demographic.

For a large amount of this generation I'm fairly sure the PlayStation team has been the only particularly profitable wing of Sony at all if I remember correctly, with maybe the TV division also doing well.

My expectation for their victory in taking the next gen is more rooted in the absence of good competition; the Switch is aimed at a more casual audience and packs fairly low spec hardware, and Microsoft just keep shooting themselves in the foot, announcing inferior parts to Sony, not having any of their exclusives releasing until like a year after launch, and having a confusing naming scheme and a design that not many people are keen on.

Worked in large tech companies for 10 years and sick and tired of it all. The culture, the deluded managers, everything. I've made it monetarily but I am just empty inside.
