They do so because it comes off as marginalizing their accomplishments as if they couldn't do it on their own. Hanging out on this board and learning to invest and about wealth, you learn that wealth generation is a team effort. But society (who obviously doesn't know shit about wealth) doesn't treat it that way. They want people to pull themselves up by their own bootstraps to do it on their own. You're scorned or written off for receiving help otherwise.

Bullshit. I have a job I hate but I'm sticking it out only because it gives me time to come here and read up on crypto and I make chump change. I have friends who have crappy jobs and high paying jobs but dislike their careers but don't put any effort into bettering their lives and achieving financial freedom. They use the same excuses, "anon, you live with your parents, I have a kid/bills/etc etc". But you seriously can't take an hour to read up on tech? You seriously can't take the same $10 you would spend on booze to test out in buying a stinky linky at 30 cents? THIRTY (30) FUCKING CENTS IS TOO MUCH FOR YOU?

I feel nothing but contempt for people who complain about others having more money for them. They don't fucking try and will make every excuse to justify why and refuse to acknowledge what they do have and will never acknowledge the glaring sacrifices others make to get what they have. I'm a blasted basement dweller who gave up a chance to be in a relationship (cold feet) and had to move back home with my parents and killed my future in that tech world since I disliked the career I had a chance to go due to a shitty boss; in contrast to my friends who decide to be in relationships, have kids that come with the stereotypical baby daddy issues, or are moving into their own apartments.

I'm venting yes, but the point I'm making is that you to have to try if you want to better your life. You can't keep making excuses for yourself. No one is going to save you. It's your own mindset that saves you and propels you to where you want to be. Now I understand why Jack Ma said what he said about if you're 35 and not rich, it's your own fault. It's cold hearted and poorly worded, but people have more power than they realize. They just need to reach out, seek knowledge, and TRY.

A lot of people only care about their own needs and are only interested in a more modest, wagefree life. 1 million is enough to set someone straight for a modest life and 10 million basically sets them up for life. You need a goal in mind, a plan for using wealth that can power a country, to hold for longer else the allure will get too strong before you say eff it all and buy your lambo and mansion and spend the rest of your life continuing to shitpost on weeb door waxing forums.
