Why is it going up????

So I'm a financial newfag (not totally new to crypto, made some decent gains with BTC/ETH years ago but whatever) and have possibly a retard question for anyone willing to answer. So I bought $40 of DOGE at 0.06 about a week ago (like a retard) because yolo, held and now that it's back up to 0.06 I've made like $30. I don't get it, how the fuck did I make money?

Again to reiterate, I am indeed retarded so no I actually don't know the (probably very obvious) answer.
