To shill the benefits of scrapping some more, you can get pure refined silver returned from a refinery in the form of the recrystallized/precipitated silver, maybe shot too, which is likely to be cheaper than having them pour bars for return.

Scrapsperg here, yes you can get a basic one like this pretty cheap, was around $220 off eBay (shipped from China) several years ago.

Melting down metal (smelting ore is different) and pouring bars is easy, however if you want to actually refine it into .999+ you'll need to get a lot more equipment and chems, it's a real PITA.
