This is a vol suppression rally. Fed/Treasury/ESF has their foot on VIX. That recent drawdown was the fakest shit I've ever seen. Market manipulation is getting turned up to 11 with this admin, which really, should be no surprise.

That being said: IMO fed wants markets to come down a bit when Powell speaks. He's going to be hawkish and the markets will obediently drop, but not too violently. I expect a gradual decline into sept, then a nice pump again in october right into midterms.

The fear of a big crash and recession is a very helpful thing for them for controlling inflation and oil prices, so they're going to keep it alive so the energy speculators do their work for them. At the same time, a real capitulation will not be allowed.
