Can someone please explain how cryptocurency is anonymous. How do you buy crypto online without an identity, banking information or paper trail leading to your bank account, as far as I know you can't buy crypto with cash, there is always some kind of online transaction. Wouldn't this basically be a financial dox once you pin an identity to a specific wallet.

People who believe this keep confusing the definitions of what's actually decentralized about bitcoin

bitcoin as a whole is a decentralized currency as in the ledger is distributed to all people on the network and is updated by all people on the network. Just because a secondary network is formed to allow 2 people to add up multiple transactions on a subledger using a node system that is later sent back to the main ledger doesn't make anything centralized at all. You have to be a fucking retard to think it does.

and those nodes cannot deny your payment. That's retarded. You don't have control of what your nodes allow or deny, that's up to the system itself. Just like every other fucking crypto node system. Its like people just make shit up about LN
