The dollar is gaining strength relative to other currencies. If you check against everything else and gold and silver, the dollar has weakened.

Wait, so if COMEX can settle in cash and thus can't be broken by being forced to deliver, what's the point? The base thesis for miners is really easy to understand.

> at $20/oz spot price they have $5/oz profit
> at $40/oz spot profit goes up to $25/oz
In reality it’s slightly more complicated and has far more downside risk than buying physical metal, but if you’re confident silver price is going up and you have a strategy for claiming profits on the way up then miners are an easy choice.

Yes! And I would love if we started working towards a molten salt thorium based reactor. Unfortunately because there has been almost no investment in the R&D and it can’t be weaponized (no miltech funding) we are at a minimum 10 years away from a viable commercial scale thorium reactor. Uranium miners aren’t a hodl for life play, but they should make decent gains in the next few years.
