Anon I'm a stacklet. I can't afford to accumulate.

I just need to hear someone say I'm gonna make it and that they're proud of me.

>the ore was so rich and full of sulfur that if the mines caught fire the rock itself would burn for years
Damn, i wonder what was the worst work conditions between a VIIth century miner in Europe and an early XIXth miner in the US?

I can't remember precisely, but i've read part of a book from a very famous author of yours from the mid 1800s i think, and he explain daily silver workers' job, describing it as the most difficult, most dangerous job a man (kids included) ever worked. Maybe you know what book/author i'm talking about? The entire segment was pretty chilling.

Source levy.
You can't avoid the taxes if they are "incrusted" from the get go. You don't even see you are getting stolen from, for you it's normal to only get 65% of your salary since it's what's written on your paycheck. It's normal to you to pay 120% of the normal price on every single item you ever bought since it's what marked on the price tag.

So eventually you forget about it, but they are always here, no matter what you do.

>I've been told the idea is to encourage investing over speculation
I don't get how does it make any sense in their mind.
Imho it's for only one thing : keep the paper trail short. The federal gov probably like to keep a list of all the buyers with their purchases, and they are so lazy they can't be assed to keep Joe Schmo's Excel entry updated because he buy 2 silver oz at a time kek.

That said, the only thing we can be sure of, is it's not with our best interest in mind, like every other requirement ever made by the gubment.

TLDR my boss hates me and put me on a PIP how do I defend myself against this?
Only thing he had on me was that I don't engage with all the other redditors at my job.

>As an aside I strongly recommend you guys buy coins with security features, with the way things are going not everyone is going to want to spend $1000 hyperinflated zogbucks on an ounce of silver without Britannia/maple style assurances of authenticity.
That's a good point. But more like easily recognizable silver. Security features are a nice plus, but won't be a determining factor. Having well known, easy to identify gubment minted coins will.
I always said this, the standardization of coins (marking for origin's tracability, value and weight denominated on the surface) was the most important factor to the adoption of precious metals as medium of exchange. And if there is three things you should avoid like plague while stacking, it's silver shots, unmarked 'fantasy' jewels and home-made hand-poured bars. With no marking, thus no guarantee of origin, who will trust you when the time comes to trade your silver for other stuff?
Sure you can test it in front of the buyer with nitric acid, but the the cycle repeat.. and what a pain in the ass.

I really hope, with demand ever increasing, that soon a company will develop a cheap, pen-shaped spectrometer who can fit in your pocket. Just like mini fiat notes testing machines exist nowaday, but used to be the size of a printer.
The firm who can develop these will make fucking bank, and i'll be among the first customers if it is priced below $100.
