Unfortunately labor, whether it be forced or willing, is a pillar of mankind and has been for some 100,000 years. When we were neanderthals we had to work eg hunt for food. Either that or we died. And today, we have to either work doing whatever it is that we do, or we die. This is a seemingly innocent question you've asked but in reality is a pillar of existentialism and a super deep question. Rather than ask yourself why you have to work, ask yourself why you are so apprehensive to working - the answer will likely be that you are not skilled or confident enough to do what you would ENJOY to do for work. And of course that stems from insecurities and a plethora of other psychological issues. But I digress. If you want to escape it in a realistic sense - become a hobo. Simple as that. Back 100,000 years ago this was impossible as you would almost instantly die due to scarcity of resources. These days everything is in such abundance that you can be a homeless wanderer and still sleep with a full belly every night. The trade off is of course that you would be a hobo - very rough life. So the decision is yours. What is more miserable to you - sitting at a job you hate all day and letting life pass you by, or smelling like shit and wearing the same torn clothes for months and sleeping on park benches, but getting to wander the earth and meet interesting people and see cool places n shit?

Fix what? I am already on track. I am going to spend the rest of my life sitting in a box for 8 hours a day so I can afford to go home and sleep for another 8, and I will repeat this cycle until I die, everyday praying I meet eyes with someone on the train just to share the pain.
