i think Flare (not Flare finance) is already going to be huge and it's essentially a way for the XRP that is locked up by retail buyers (not banks and institutions) to be put to work (staking or lending or governing) instead of just sitting there, being speculated on

Flare Finance, man, it's complicated and i think i'll have to see it in action to fully understand it, but it seems to me like whoever put it together is a) Satoshi-level smart and b) bringing DeFi into its teenage years by allowing stuff like derivatives, mutual funds, insurance, yield farming to be done in a centralized location, instead of with scams like Yam or Hotdog or whateverthefuck BZRX type rugpull bullshit.

I think it potentially represents the seed of the end of the debt-based banking system, which is very, very exciting to me. one of my hobbies is imagining better worlds and alternate paths for humanity to grow, and i have long imagined a world where people used technology to cut out banks, which have been the primary force holding the majority back for at least the modern era and probably since people figured out how to write down IOUs on tablets of clay or papyrus.

I think NFTs are going to be very big as well and I want to get a bag of SOLO for this reason. probably shortly after the snapshot is taken on the 12th i will trade a few of my XRPs for SOLO XDC and QNT
