you need an equal amount of ETH-whatever token you want to do the pool with. so im assuming you have 0.8 ETH worth of BAO, youll need that to create the BAO-ETH token to stake in the pool.
yes there gas fees now for staking/unstaking and harvesting, but it will soon be switched to xDAI or something which will make it much cheaper (just creating the liquidity pair will have a fee I believe). i too am new to this so some names of shit may be wrong.

youll probably make the money back by then if you have enough in the pool and BAO goes up enough. took me 3 days for $172 worth of BAO with 0 risk on ETH-USDC pair and just gas fees
