what's hard to understand?
they make products parents can feel okay about buying for their children, that their children actually enjoy, that are sometimes half the price of the other options.

So-called hardcore gamers scoff, but many of them buy it anyways because of the exclusive titles they won't otherwise be able to access. Casual gamers buy in because it's simple fun: you have a few friends over to your apartment or dorm room or whatever, and play a few levels of mario or rounds of mariokart and then you hit the bar or whatever.

And theres a dedicated fanbase of obsessives over many of their games like smash, zelda, pokemon, and animal crossing. They can't get those anywhere else, and they're happy paying for the privilege.

How DOESN'T nintendo do it? because they fail to live up to vocal nerds on the internets hopes for the new pokemon to contain all the old pokemon?

keeping the markets up is a side effect, the point is keeping companies afloat while the goverment forces everything to shutdown

Most retirement plans are exposed to bonds and reallocate quarterly, believed to have been partially responsible for the insane rally before the fed and treasury stepped up to the plate.

Those companies, big tech and the the only three retailers that matter, all benefit from this move. People are using MORE technology than ever, more data, more devices etc, and all the competition is going broke.

You know who benefits from every corner store vanishing?
Amazon, Costco, Walmart
