I am confused on what resources you think you need to do this if you understand exchange api. Just imagine you are doing it all manually, then program that into the robot to do it automagically. The hardest part of an arbitrage bot is that every exchange does things slightly differently. As for the market maker kind of bot, it's hard to make the logic on point depending on how much historical data you're able to handle in your logic. For me, I just have it listen until the text file i'm storing the data too is a certain size then every few seconds run a data analysis and logic loop to determine to buy/sell/hodl. I don't use historical data but likely should.
