The advantage with sovereigns, as I found out only a few days ago (if you look at the image) is that you can keep your labour value outside of depreciating fiat or other consumer products until you're ready to cash out. I'm in my early 40's and plan to keep on stacking until I'm in my 60's which I should be able to buy some really nice things over a 20 year period.
