Layer 1 DEX’s are too slow and have insane gas fees.
CEX’s are usually KYC and your privacy as well as ability to trade is at their mercy.
As such, it stands to reason that a Layer 2 DEX is the way to go for the future of trading.
Stakenet is the one we all know about — but are there any others in development that handle both Ethereum AND Bitcoin transactions off-chain? I don’t like to get married to one single project so if there are genuine rivals in the space, sell me on them.
There are some up and coming later 2 DEX’s that do one or the other — namely loopring does the eth side but not the BTC/lightning side — but I have yet to see another that integrates both lightning and raiden allowing for layer 2 trade functionality between the two major chains while remaining off-chain for easy scaling.
