I also collect coins as a hobby so whilst the silver value of the boxed coins is low compared to what I paid, checking on eBay the majority of them sell for the same price or slightly higher. The Royal Mint also stopped selling all coins with the queen's portrait on them on 31/12/2023 so the price will go up over the years, especially for the low mintage ones.

I keep track of it all anyway and all the coins I've bought in 2023 have been at spot or £1-2 above.
