They're from here https://www.smart-elements.com/shop/rhenium-metal-bullion-bar-ingot-42-5-grams/ but you can the bulk pellets for about 1500-1700 canadian a kilo all in, from metal supply stores that usually sell bulk to industry. It's about the same density as platinum but with the melting temp of tungsten, used in alloys but I think could be a cool alternative metal like some of the other PGMs. I think I'll just pull the trigger and see, not a huge loss if not. Annual production averages about 50 tones and there's just above 2m tones still in the ground iirc.

I'm thinking you're right, ill just get a kilo for fun. It's not like it'd even be possible to sell, short of contacting the wholesaler.
