>Well all you're basically saying is "guys Bitcoin has a public ledger lololo". Which, like, yes, no shit bro.
What a moronic comment. Imagine being unable to understand that transforming bitcoin's transparency to real metrics is a big deal, that the first examples are starting to appear publicly and it should alert people everywhere of what is to come.
But I guess it's better to say it's irrelevant and take a "hehe I told you this would happen bro" attitude.
Pathetic.

based. Monero isn't just for criminals. Even normies who are fine with giving up privacy to ad algorithms won't want every entity they transact with to know exactly how much they have. I've seen people who've paid for a service in BTC get asked for more because the vendor checked their address and saw they had "plenty of BTC to spare". Even normies won't put up with that in the long run, BTC is doomed.

Why should I get this instead of Monero? Because you can build privacy apps on it?

Same here. I remember when the only way I could buy BTC was to go to a Western Union and send a money order. Of course I spent it all on LSD and MDMA. Never thought to sit on any of it.

Not making that mistake with Monero.

So does that mean the folks at Kraken just told regulators to go suck a dick? Presumably the same pressure would have been put on them.

You need a reality check. You're being ridiculous if you honestly imagine that there's an interest of Nation States (not everyone here is American, you know?) in discovering who the neckbeards behind the posts made in a general thread on /biz/ are, collaborating with multiple international agencies and even abroad internet service providers to pinpoint every IP here to a physical address. Your line of thinking is completely in line with people who believe they are being followed by the government 24/7. Most people here don't even have $10,000 to their name. The authorities have more important things to do like hunting down literal pedophiles and international traffickers on the deep web. And if they want to go after crypto hodlers there are a bunch of people out there who owns more than all of us combined.
If this post of mine is not enough to give you a reality check I recommend that you see a therapist because you are not of sound mind and might need help.

God, no. Stop, there's no reason XRP has any value at all. These are not stocks of a company even if it's working like they are. Even if they partner with some government or company it's extremely unlikely it's going to run using the XRP currency. And they're being investigated exactly because their token is working like a stock but it smells bad and the SEC knows it.

>So expensive though.
stack piconeros.

I feel fairly confident generating my mnemonic phrase using the recommended implementation of the protocol on an offline Linux computer, and then proceeding to zip encrypting with a password using AES-256.
Don't underestimate the opportunity bad actors will see on this. It's like if you were storing gold at your home but in a piece of paper.

>Why not hardware wallets? In my fireproof safe. Protected by various guns.
Nothing wrong with hardware wallets I guess. I just am comfortable enough to deal with the actual wallet software for Monero and Bitcoin and prefer that. It's a bit DYI, but it's cheaper and so easy to clone. If you travel a lot you have to consider the possibility of shit hitting the fan and you being anywhere.

Just transfered some Monero from my exchange to my Ledger, which is my long-term holding place.

Did I fuck up not using a secondary wallet in between?
Am I fine from now on as long as I withdraw to secondary addresses or is it ok to reuse my primary address?

How can you even ban this you faggots without banning the entire cryptospace?
>but muh delisting
Smart governments should allow it to be on all kyc exchanges in order to track the maximum people using XMR.

If you ban it you're actually giving all the credit that this coin deserves, being the only one that cannot be traced. Making it some kind of special coin that is harder to obtain, and what is harder to obtain is always more expensive.

Holy fuck, the fud is strong vs Monero these last days. How can you even fud this coin until you are a fed? The only coin with actual current use. Not a PnD, steady growth through the year. Good dev community, entirely community funded. The only coin not on the GOV side, looking for the freedom of its users.

I don't fucking understand how anyone in the crypto space can be against this coin and not wanting it to succeed.

I'm legit puzzled on why has it not mooned yet.
It's literally the only crypto that is used as a currency. And it has the best technology of all of them.

People say "It's stable because it's used as a currency, so it has to be stable", but I'm 80 IQ and don't understand the argument.
If it's used to trade for consumer goods, that means there's demand for it, no? Then why does it have a low market cap?
